About the Artist - Jill Van Sickle

Having spent over 20 years making her living as a fine art painter, Jill found herself craving a different, more playful, medium. As a vintage jewelry collector, she decided to create some moody decor, using bugs as her imagry. While crafting these pieces, Jill wonders about each woman who once wore, long ago, the earring, broach or pendant she’s working with. She thinks the spirits of those women live inside those sparkly pieces.
